Asset Management

PETROPAD Asset Management is a division of PETROPAD, we provide Physical Asset Management Services & Solutions.

 

Through our suite of asset management services & software tools, we can provide accurate, reliable information on your physical assets that you can use to make informed decisions on asset performance improvements resulting in lower costs.

 

Asset Management: What is it?

The objective of asset management is to ensure and to be able to demonstrate that the assets deliver the required function and level of performance in terms of service or production output. This should be achieved in a sustainable manner at an optimum life cycle cost without compromising health, safety and environmental performance or the organizations reputation.

 

PAS 55-1 the publicly available specification for the optimized management of physical assets describes Asset Management as: "the optimum way of managing assets to achieve a desired and sustained outcome". Assets in this instance are physical assets including production equipment, plant, machinery, buildings, vehicles and any other items and related systems that have a distinct and quantifiable business function or service.

 

The official PAS 55-1 definition of asset management is: Systematic and coordinated activities and practices through which an organization optimally manages its assets, and their associated performance, risks and expenditures over their lifecycle for the purpose of achieving its organizational strategic plan.

PETROPAD Asset Management Assessments

PETROPAD Asset Management Division provides clients with comprehensive assessments of their current asset management practices against recognized current best practice. In simple terms this can be compared to a health checkup similar to what you would take with your own medical doctor. The MD will measure your blood pressure, cholesterol and other key areas and compare them to the ideal for your age, weight and other attributes. Similarly the PETROPAD Asset Management Division will measure your asset management function over key performance areas to determine its current state in relation to best practices.

 

Once complete our team of professional engineers will provide a detailed report of the current situation that will help you to set goals. Using our experience and expertise we can work with you to achieve the goals set out and improve performance.
